- Brembo
After the original brake discs had reached the end of their lifespan, I naturally wanted something sportier. At the time, I had opted for slotted EBC brake discs as replacements, combined with Black Stuf pads. I was generally satisfied, but Brembo discs with ECE R90 certification had since become available. Therefore, I tried the third generation Brembo discs with the Sport HP2001 pads. Brembo discs were also used at the rear. And I've stuck with it; Brembo is simply a good brand that impresses when it comes to braking, especially on mountain roads. The only minor drawback of the brake pads is that they sometimes squeak a little.
- Steel braided brake hoses
I installed the braided stainless steel brake hoses back in 2015. Of course, with a red rubber protective sleeve over them. The advantage is that I haven't had to replace the brake hoses since then, and because they don't stretch, the braking point is also more precise.
- OEM Ralliart Emblem
One of Mitsubishi's most recognizable emblems. Before that, I had first specified one made of stainless steel, then one made of black. Currently, the OEM emblem adorns my radiator grille.
- Front spoiler
This specially designed front spoiler is only available for the front of the Sport Sedan, not for the Sportback or the facelift models... The Instyle originally came with the spoiler corners installed, but in 2013 I opted for the front spoiler, as I had the choice between lowering the suspension or a front spoiler. Thanks to the original all-around bodywork and the weight of the engine, it looks lower, and you don't have any problems with the police.
- Hella Horn Performance
I've always liked how you can see the aftermarket horns through the grille on some cars. And red is my color anyway, so I implemented this project in 2023, but not in the way you might expect. Since the sound of these horns isn't exactly great, I decided to keep the original ones. But just for looks, that's a waste of potential... I connected them to a Wi-Fi relay, so I can control them via the internet. Basically, an alarm system that I can activate from anywhere.
- Gas springs - trunk
Opening the trunk with strong gas springs is simply a luxury. Since I use my Lancer as my daily driver and I need the trunk for luggage, I took this a step further. My trunk can be opened with a foot gesture or even remotely via the internet. So it's really convenient and practical when you have both hands full.
- Performance enhancement
Since I own the turbodiesel, it was only a matter of time before I did a software tune. I went from the original 140 hp and 310 Nm to 183 hp and 416 Nm. It's simply awesome when accelerating.
- DRL - Daytime Running Lights
I programmed the fog lights to function as daytime running lights, as this is permitted in Austria. I also installed a switch to turn the daytime running lights off.
- Windshield washer fluid sensor
Along with the hood lock, I also installed a windshield washer fluid sensor. This sends a notification to the instrument cluster as soon as the washer fluid level drops below a certain point. It's incredibly practical, especially in winter. Once the notification appears, I still have 20 comfort wash cycles before it runs out. The sensor must be enabled in ETACS.
- Car wash NEW
I have made several upgrades to the car wash to create the most comfortable result for the driver: New OEM nozzles Windshield washer fluid sensor Wash the headlights twice Bosch windscreen wipers Larger passenger-side windshield wiper Comfort windscreen wipers, adjustable via the MMCS Car wash lid in red/black delayed final wipe Wash system for the reversing camera
- Bi-Xenon bulbs
After 17 years (2008-2025), one of my xenon bulbs failed. That's quite a long time, actually. I replaced both with more powerful Osram Night Breakers, which have 200% more brightness. I hope these also last 17 years...
- PlayStation 3
Since I installed an XTRONS ceiling monitor with a full-HD display in the Lancer, the PlayStation 3 is a really good fit. It's always been my favorite PlayStation. Simply a multimedia center and a Blu-ray player. Just flop down in the back seat and enjoy a Blu-ray movie, or play a round of Tekken 5 or Ridge Racer 7...
