Spare parts warehouse
Since 2009, constantly replacing or renewing parts has resulted in a large accumulation of car parts. In 2024, my basement became too small, so I decided to get a storage unit. It's simply practical and nice to have everything in one place and to display rare Mitsubishi parts. As a Mitsubishi enthusiast, I also collect Evolution and Final Edition parts.

Project Overview
Here you can see all my projects at a glance:
Michael

Rockford Acoustic Design
"When something good gets even better" It's my absolute favorite project, the Rockford Fosgate music system. My Lancer Instyle already has the Rockford sound system installed, and this one is based on that. My Lancer originally had a 650-watt amplifier and seven speakers. I've always enjoyed listening to powerful music. When I was reading the manual, I noticed something about the sound system: the Pajero has an even better system installed—more settings and more speakers. The

Color speedometer
As in the other post "Final Edition Speedometer," I had, of course, only installed the standard orange speedometer. A speedometer with a color display is quite nice. In 2019, I installed a speedometer from an ASX and had the mileage adjusted. But unfortunately, there was no startup animation; that only appeared after switching to the ETACS A321. Initially, I had the ASX speedometer faces installed, but I've since switched to modified Evo faces. Naturally, I kept these for the

Evo X steering wheel
I've had many steering wheels before, this is the Gen 4 one I currently have installed. An Evo steering wheel, heavily modified, because the standard steering wheel simply looks colorless.... Gathering all the parts was quite a long story; it took almost a year until everything was the way I wanted it, but it was totally worth it. Flattened bottom, with perforated genuine leather and Alcatara, 12 o'clock line, red multifunction button covers, carbon cover, red stitching. Beca

Evo X hood
In 2014 I decided to buy the OEM aluminum hood from the Evo; I simply ordered it directly from Mitsubishi (1100 € unpainted without accessories) and had it painted in my car's color. I used genuine carbon fiber air scoops from Seibon Carbon. I positioned my self-designed logo on the center scoop. I had already installed the gas springs on the steel hood, which presented a minor challenge. The gas springs were too strong for the aluminum hood, so it wouldn't close. I reversed

Evo X Recaro seats
One of my more recent upgrades is the Recaro seats from the Evo 10. I only have them in cloth, but they're extremely comfortable, not cold in winter and not hot in summer. They may only be cloth, but they come fully equipped – heated seats and side airbags. Unlike the leather seats in the Instyle trim, the Recaro seats' heating system is extremely fast and much warmer. Absolutely indispensable in winter. The lateral support is also superb; you feel truly connected to the Lanc

Fuse Link System
When I first heard about this system, I knew I had to have it. It was my first attempt at integrating a system that wasn't designed for the 2008 Lancer. I failed to install it in 2019. In 2022, I tried again, and it worked! Since that success, I've had a real breakthrough on how to implement these kinds of things. From that point on, there was no stopping me... Why is this system so good? It complements the MMCS with very good features: Bluetooth audio, phonebook directly in

Door/Interior lighting
Since the first Mitsubishi meet in 2012, I've installed blue LEDs in the interior and have continued to do so. I've since expanded the system. I've installed blue LEDs in the door handles and door stays, as well as below the doors to make it easier to see where I'm stepping in the dark. My ignition lock is illuminated in blue, and there's also footwell lighting. It is rounded off with the blue/white starry sky that is presented as an extra.

Starry sky - "constellations"
A headliner with stars is simply beautiful. There are many kits available for installing them. Since I enjoy DIY projects, I created everything myself. It uses approximately 100 LEDs, but not haphazardly. The blue LEDs represent constellations. In total, I have eight constellations: Draco (a must, of course ^^), Ursa Minor, Orion, Leo, Gemini, Cassiopeia, Cepheus, and Auriga. The white LEDs are additional and add depth to the starry sky. The starry sky automatically switches

MMCS E-06 Modified
The foundation for many upgrades is the core component, the MMCS E-06. It is the latest in its series and has all the features in its firmware. Instead of the 40GB hard drive (which came with the E-02/30GB model), I installed a 160GB IDE hard drive from Samsung. Everything worked perfectly with this one, and it's really inexpensive. Now the music server has a capacity of 126GB; I currently have 34GB of music stored on it, which is equivalent to about 500 CDs. I also customize

engine compartment
In 2012 I gradually began to redesign the engine compartment in the colors red and carbon. Dom strut painted red Carbon radiator plate Carbon fuse cover Red cable conduits Stainless steel screws with red washer Red engine cover with dragon Air intake wrapped in carbon fiber foil BMC sports air filter Ralliart radiator cap Windshield washer fluid reservoir cap in red Carbon fiber hood dampers Air intakes on the hood in red

Personalized license plate
In Austria, it's a long-standing tradition for car enthusiasts to buy personalized license plates. In 2012, I finally got one, but the number 1 was already taken, so I went with W-LANCE2. Now the number 1 has become available, so I have that one too. So, I have two personalized license plates.

Wind deflectors
Although I'm a non-smoker, I installed Climair wind deflectors in 2022. Of course, they're in dark smoked glass, and they blend in very nicely.

Webasto auxiliary heater
Since I no longer have access to a garage in 2015, I had a Webasto auxiliary heater installed. I got the Thermo Top C with the TC3 SMS module. I don't find a timer particularly aesthetically pleasing in the interior. In 2025, I modified the emergency stop button by adding a fuse. I also installed two SMS modules, allowing me to control multiple devices via SMS; however, this remains a trade secret.
Michael

Wi-Fi
I have a Teltonika RUT850 Wi-Fi router installed, which has a 4G connection and a download speed of 150 Mbps. I use it with a MultiSIM from Drei, so I don't have any additional costs. I was asked why I need Wi-Fi in a car these days? I have installed so many devices that are connected to the Wi-Fi network that this has become indispensable.
Michael

tinted windows
In 2012, I had the windows tinted from the B-pillar back, using the darkest tint legally allowed at the time, 80%. I think two years later the limit was changed to 95%. Real bad luck back then... I'll have them replaced eventually. Up front, I have clear LLumar shatterproof film on the upper windows for security purposes.

OEM phone console
I've known since 2008 that there was a phone console listed in the accessories catalog, but I never bought it because the pictures always showed a phone holder that I didn't like at all. Then one day, while browsing the parts market, I found a new OEM phone console, and of course, the pictures showed the phone console itself. No more of that hideous holder, just the console itself. I bought these, added red decorative stitching, of course, and glued a strong magnet inside. An

Aluminum fuel filler cap
I installed the aluminum fuel cap with the LANCER logo in 2010. Later, I painted the logo and screws black for better contrast. I also added an alarm to the fuel cap and connected it to the hood latch, so I get a warning on the dashboard if the fuel cap is open and I try to start the engine. I also affixed an OEM sticker from Ralliart to the clasp.

Gear knob/gear shift boot
I replaced the gear knob back in 2012; originally, it had a full leather knob. I got mine from the OEM accessories catalog. However, I reupholstered it and added red decorative stitching. The gear shift boot had become a bit boring over the years, so I added some red to it. Overall, it looks much sportier.
