Photosensor air conditioner

Behind the windshield in the center is a dummy unit that I previously thought was for an alarm system. However, a few years ago I learned that it's actually for a light sensor. I wondered why, since I already had a light sensor installed. Further research revealed that in some countries, this sensor wasn't mounted on the windshield, but instead a light sensor was installed at the bottom.

There are three different versions of this:

• Light sensor only

• Only the photo sensor

• Both sensors in a single module

  
  

For my project, I only need the sensor for the air conditioner (Photosensor).

This comes with a cable.

Installation is very simple: The dummy unit must be removed, the cable is pulled through the opening behind the speedometer and plugged in. Activation is not required.

The sensor measures the intensity of the sunlight and controls the air conditioning in automatic mode. More sunlight causes the air conditioning to work harder, while it runs less efficiently in the shade.

A significant improvement to the automatic air conditioning!
