MMCS E-06 Modified

The foundation for many upgrades is the core component, the MMCS E-06.

It is the latest in its series and has all the features in its firmware.

Instead of the 40GB hard drive (which came with the E-02/30GB model), I installed a 160GB IDE hard drive from Samsung. Everything worked perfectly with this one, and it's really inexpensive. Now the music server has a capacity of 126GB; I currently have 34GB of music stored on it, which is equivalent to about 500 CDs.

I also customized various backgrounds and reprogrammed the startup animation to display my logo. I also have an SSD, but since there's hardly any difference in speed, storage space for the music server is more important to me.

The MMCS can of course also play DVDs, which is fantastic in combination with the Pajero's 860W amplifier, especially since DTS is now available. I also installed a 24-hour clock and the DVD in Motion upgrade. Since the AUX input isn't affected by this update, I installed the MMCS TV kit from Japan.

I love the MMCS, so I would never trade it for an Android device....
